1. Who We Are
FaceShapesAI ("FaceShapesAI", "we", "us" or "our") provides AI-powered facial and body analysis tools including face shape detection, symmetry analysis, look-alike matching and related styling guidance, at faceshapesai.com (the "Service").
We operate without a public registered business address. For anything covered by this Policy, contact us at support@faceshapesai.com.
2. What We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Your email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text.
- Photos you upload to use an analysis tool.
- Body measurements you type in for tools like the Body Shape Calculator, Body Ratio Calculator and Universal Size Helper. These involve no photo at all.
- Payment details, if you subscribe. These go directly to our payment processor — we never receive or store your full card number.
- Anything you send us in an email.
Information collected automatically:
- Which tool you used and when, so we can apply daily scan limits and keep your credit balance accurate. We record the tool name and timestamp only — not the photo, and not the result.
- Referral and bonus-credit activity, including a general network identifier, so we can detect abuse of the referral system.
- Standard technical data from our hosting and analytics providers — approximate city-level location from your IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited. Analytics only run if you have accepted cookies.
3. What Happens to Your Photo
This is the part most people want a straight answer to, so here it is in order:
- Your photo is sent from your browser to our server over an encrypted connection.
- Our server decodes it in memory and passes it to our facial analysis engine.
- The engine returns measurements — proportions, ratios and labels such as face shape or eye shape.
- The photo is never written to a database or saved to permanent storage. It exists only for the seconds the request takes, and is discarded once your result is returned.
- This is identical for anonymous visitors and signed-in account holders. An account changes your daily scan limit, not what happens to your photo.
Look-alike matching. To find a match, your photo is converted into a mathematical representation (an "embedding") and compared against a reference database of celebrity images we maintain ourselves. Your photo is not added to that database, and the embedding is not kept after your result is returned.
Is facial data stored as numbers, even without the photo? No. Landmark coordinates and measurements are calculated and returned in the same request. They are not written to our database.
Is my photo used to train your models? No. We do not use uploaded photos to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve our analysis models.
Saved Result History. This is a planned paid feature that is not yet active. When it launches, this Policy will be updated first to describe exactly what is stored, for how long, and how to delete it.
4. How Our Technology Works
Our analysis runs on a model we designed and trained ourselves, in-house, for this Service specifically — not an off-the-shelf open-source library, and not a general-purpose third-party AI service such as OpenAI, Google Cloud Vision or AWS Rekognition. The measurement logic behind face shape, eye shape, nose shape, lip shape, symmetry and golden-ratio proportions is our own model, trained on our own data and benchmarked against other face-analysis tools before it went live.
One thing is worth stating plainly rather than leaving implied:
A hosting gateway, not an AI provider. Our analysis endpoint is hosted and exposed through RapidAPI, so a request to analyse your photo is routed through RapidAPI's network on its way to our own server. RapidAPI plays the role a hosting provider or API gateway plays — it routes the request — but it does not perform, assist with, or have access to the actual analysis. The model reading and measuring your photo is ours alone, running on infrastructure we control.
5. Third Parties We Work With
- Hostinger — hosting for the website and application.
- RapidAPI — routes the analysis request to our own server, as described above.
- Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity — anonymised usage and behaviour data. Never your photo. These only load if you accept cookies.
- Adsterra and Monetag — advertising for free-tier visitors, and the rewarded-ad credit feature. Paying subscribers are never shown ads, and ad code is withheld on the server rather than merely hidden.
- Stripe, Paddle and/or Lemon Squeezy — payment processing, once billing is live. We do not receive your full card number.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. Before uploading a photo you are asked to confirm that you are 16 or older.
If you believe someone under 16 has created an account or uploaded a photo, contact us at support@faceshapesai.com and we will delete the associated data.
8. Your Rights and Deleting Your Data
Because photos and facial measurements are not retained after your result is shown, there is generally nothing to delete on that front.
For account data — your email address and hashed password — you can request deletion at any time by emailing support@faceshapesai.com. We will delete your account and credentials within a reasonable time of a verified request. A self-service delete button in account settings is planned.
Wherever you live, you may ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, correct inaccurate account information, delete your account, or stop a specific processing activity such as marketing email.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypting data in transit and hashing passwords before storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
10. Changes to This Policy
We update this Policy as the Service changes — for example, when Saved Result History or a payment gateway goes live. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised Policy.
